The Minitel 1b, also known as the "bi standard" Minitel 1, supported two modes: videotex and telematic. The videotex mode was used to access serivces on the Télétel platform. The telematic mode provided compatibility with standard ASCII interfaces such as a BBS or time-sharing service.

The six page comic follows the (mis)adventures of Fox as he looks for love on the Minitel. In the opening panels, Fox picks up a terminal from the local post office and rushes home to set it up and type "3...6...1...5..."
